Can all you good people pray for my daughter . Sharon is four months pregnant with her first baby. She has got a swelling in her armpit which the doctor didn'nt seem worried about. If it hasnt gone in a month she has to go back. We are praying it is just hormones with the pregnancy. I am vey worried as there is breast cancer in the family. It is still there after three weeks but it could it still could be nothing dangerous i hope. Thanks. Kathleen Mc.xx

So sorry to hear about this Kathleen. Will pray that it is harmless and connected with the hormones of pregnancy. Congratulations to your daughter and to you as a gran to be. Perhaps it is worth asking for a second opinion if your daughter is worried. What about her midwife?

Sorry to hear of your worry, hopefully it will be hormones, they do really funny things
to us women.. Certainly good idea to get a second opinion.

Hi Kathleen

I'm sorry to hear about this as it will cause lots of worry. The women in our family have a history of breast lumps and my daughter found one when she was about 4 months pegnant with George. We were told by the consultant that this is quite common in pregnancy. Thankfully, it turned out to be hormonal, and I am praying that it is the same for Sharon.

With love

Hi Kathleen

I agree with others who have posted, glandular swellings are extremely common in pregnancy and are due solely to hormonal changes. I had them in all three pregnancies with them coming and going throughout, sometimes they were painful other times not but had me constantly checking for 'other' bumps. There are several glands in the armpits and if the doctor isn't jumping frantically about I think hormones are the likely cause.

Will be thinking of you and Sharon and sending positive vibes. I'm sure all will be well.
